The day the plane came down
​
A Short Stirling bomber, one ran out of fuel and crashed in Newton Flotman in 1941. The crew bailed out and were looked after by local residents
​
Air/Gnr Sgt Les Davenport who was part o f the crew of the plane that crashed 14/15th July 1941 after a bombing raid over Hanover.
